Carren is 50 years old and a single mother of four children aged between nine months and 24 years old. She runs a poultry and charcoal business in Kisauni, Mombasa.
Her business has been in operation for the last seven years. Carren has been a KADET client and this marks her second borrowing to finance her business. With this loan she plans to purchase more chicks to rear and sell later at a profit and to buy bags of charcoal for her business.
The anticipated profits will be used to repay the loan. Carren’s dream is to become a successful businesswoman.
