Thu's story

Ms. Thu is 37 years old and currently lives with her family in Thạch Lập Commune. She belongs to an ethnic minority group in Vietnam. Her family has two dependents: her first child is in grade 5 and her second child is in grade 2.

She has been running a grocery shop for more than eight years. However, her business has not been going well, and her household is classified as a low-income family in the local area. As a mother of two young children, she is eager to earn an additional income to better support and care for them. Therefore, she has taken advantage of her spare time to plant acacia trees. Due to limited capital, she has applied for her second loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to supplement funds for purchasing acacia seedlings. The previous loan helped her family improve their living conditions and manage daily expenses more effectively. With this new loan, she hopes to generate a more stable source of income from acacia cultivation and gradually strengthen her family’s financial situation, especially as her house is located far from the town center, which creates certain challenges in daily life.

In the future, she hopes that her family will remain healthy and happy, that their business will improve, and that she will earn enough income to support her children’s education and build a new house.
