Abraham has been in farming for four years, employing one farmhand and producing milk which he sells to the local market. He is age 31 and single. He runs a "posho" (cornmeal) mill in the local market in Eldoret town.
Abraham has requested a loan of 30,000 KES to enable him to venture into poultry farming by purchasing poultry. He says he wants to venture into poultry to supplement his dairy farming. He also wants to expand his half acre piece of land by purchasing more land and thereafter increase the number of his dairy cows.
Abraham says the common animal diseases have become very expensive to manage.
