Jose Antonio's story
Jose, age 49, did not have access to schooling due to his economic situation. He is single and has no dependent children.
Jose works growing and selling yellow corn. He has 33 years of experience, and he learned the work on his own. Daily he travels 6 kilometers to get to the land that he farms, and his work hours are 6:00 a 11:00 a.m. Also he does day labor with other farmers in his community.
He will use the loan to buy 18 quintals of fertilizer, the primary agricultural input for treatment of his yellow corn crop, hoping to obtain a good harvest.
Jose's dream is to improve his living conditions.
