Edviga's story
Edviga is 38 years old and married. She is raising two children. Her husband works abroad, while she works at the reception of a medical center, contributing to the family’s income.
Edviga lives in a house that does not have access to drinking water, which makes her daily life challenging for her and her family. Currently, she must fetch water from a neighborhood well for household use, while drinking water is purchased in bottles. This situation is time-consuming, physically demanding and negatively impacts the hygiene and health conditions.
Edviga is requesting a Kiva loan to connect her home to the public water supply. This project will help improve the family’s living conditions, ensure better hygiene and sanitation and reduce the daily burden caused by the lack of running water. The access to drinking water will have a lasting positive impact on the quality of life of the entire family
