John's story

John is a dedicated 56-year-old single father living in Howa Village, Kyarushesha. He is raising four school‑going children on his own, working tirelessly to provide them with stability, education, and a hopeful future. Despite the challenges of single parenthood, John remains committed to ensuring his children never lack the essentials.

Farming is his main source of livelihood, and he grows maize and beans—crops that support both his household and his community. However, declining soil fertility and persistent pests have made it increasingly difficult for him to achieve strong yields.

To improve his productivity and strengthen his income, John is seeking UGX 8 million. This support will enable him to purchase fertilizers and pesticides for his gardens, ensuring healthier crops and better harvests. With improved yields, John will be able to secure a more stable income and continue providing for his children’s education and well-being
