A loan of $2,800 helps a member to purchase new sheep, livestock feed and cover veterinary care.

Jigiya Group's story
Salif, holding the ram's horn, is a 46-year-old, uneducated Malian sheep farmer. He is married to a homemaker and has five children (two girls and three boys) under the age of 18 who do not attend school.
His main business is sheep fattening, which he has been doing for over ten years. This involves buying thin sheep, fattening them over a specific period, and then reselling them on the local market. With each sale, he makes a net profit of approximately 75,000 FCFA per head, which allows him to provide for his family.
Throughout his business, Salif has faced several challenges, including animal diseases and the high cost of livestock feed. To develop his business and improve the fattening of his sheep, he applied for a loan from the RMCR. The funding will be used to purchase new sheep, livestock feed, and to cover veterinary care.
In the long term, Salif aims to own several head of livestock of different breeds, with the goal of sustainably strengthening his livestock farming business and his household income.
