Created in November 2006, this group is composed of members living in the same village who have good social cohesion. Their main work is in small-scale retail commerce.
Ms. Mabintou is a merchant by trade. She is the group’s representative. She is married, 37 years old, and the mother of eight children, including four daughters.
With her new loan, she intends to buy some produce at the weekly markets nearby. The earnings will be used to bolster her savings and to support her husband in covering family expenses.
