Siempre Adelante Group's story
Xochil started working as a coffee producer eight years ago when she inherited 1 mz of productive coffee, all this at the age of 26 and with her father's help. She also counts on extra income from her work as a day labourer on farms in the surrounding area at times when her own crop isn't in need of maintenance. Her spare time is dedicated to going to church.
She is requesting a Kiva loan from Fundenuse to buy Ferticafé coffee fertilizer, triazofos (insecticide, acaricide and nematicide), plant fattening fertilizer, Ferticafé foliars, Calcium Boron, glyphosate, Fungomax, Urea, etc. She estimates that this loan will allow her to obtain a good yield from the crop.
Her plans are to invest the loan and increase the plantation area. She is a member of the group "Siempre Adelante" (Always Ahead), with two other coffee producers, Juana and Denis.
