Chepngeno is a mother of 2 children, aged 5 and 2. She runs a farm in her matrimonial home of Kabianga-Litein, South Rift, Kenya. Her milk product is sold to the local market, and her tea is sold to the Kenya Tea Development Authority factory.
Chepngeno has requested a loan of 52,333 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to purchase and insure a dairy cow. She says the income generated will be used to repay the loan and later on to educate her children. She also wants to construct a modern dairy unit for her animals.
Chepngeno sees the lack of animal feed and knowledge of handling dairy farming as her main challenges.
