Nury
Nury is the owner of her own business called “Productos por catálogos Nury C.” (Nury C. Catalog Products). She sells cosmetics, perfume, ladies' clothes and decorations for the home through specialized catalogs. She sells 80% of her products on credit and the rest for cash, to customers in her neighborhood, in the town of Soledad which is 15 minutes from the city of Barranquilla. In this city she also sells to regular customers who know her for her kind and timely service.

In her business, Nury collects payment every week and every fortnight. She has a profitability on her sales of 25% and she plans to increase this as she manages to obtain financing with which she will increase her working capital. This is the reason she is requesting a Kiva loan. She will use her loan to buy products for cash and thereby obtain discounts. She will buy cosmetics, accessories and perfume that she has orders for from her profitable customers.

Nury started her business with the support of her mother, from whom she gained a lot of experience which has helped her over time. She used her own resources to put together her own capital and set up her own business selling the aforementioned products.

Nury's goal for the future is to expand her home, adding a second level which will allow her to separate her family area from her business area. This will allow her to relax more in both spaces.
