Carmen Amelia
A loan of $2,000 helps to purchase two calves, vitamins, molasses, other feed, and balanced feed.

Carmen Amelia's story
Carmen is a 31-year-old single mother. She lives in a small house with her mother and her child, which is located in the community of San Isidro. She characterizes herself as being a charismatic and sociable woman dedicated to raising beef cattle and other small animals. She complements this source of income with work as a day laborer, which she does on weekdays when she is called to nearby harvests.
Carmen built her pen with wood she had at her house, but she wants to make a cement floor for this pen which will make it easier to clean it. But, for this, she needs financial help and asks for a loan from Kiva. With this, she will purchase two calves, vitamins, molasses, other feed, and balanced feed. So, she will be able to generate more profits from her agricultural labor. Carmen dreams of establishing a retail space selling meat products in the future, which will have a primary provider the animals she raises herself.
