Fozia's story
Fozia is a 43-year-old entrepreneur with 10 years of experience in sewing and tailoring. She has been serving her neighborhood with custom-made clothing and alterations but wanted to expand her business and increase her income. Despite her skills and experience, she lacked the financial resources to grow her operations.
To turn her expertise into a more sustainable livelihood, Fozia applied for financing under the CEIP program. After reviewing her business plan, CEIP approved financial support to help her expand her home-based sewing business.
The CEIP financing was used to purchase additional sewing machines, fabrics, thread, and other tailoring materials. A portion of the funds was also used to set up an organized workspace at home and to promote her services within the local community.
Today, Fozia’s expanded home-based sewing business generates a steady income, enabling her to support her family comfortably and repay the CEIP financing on schedule. Her business has increased her confidence, financial independence, and recognition for her skills within the community.
Fozia’s success demonstrates how CEIP financing, combined with experience, skills, and dedication, can help individuals expand profitable home-based enterprises and achieve financial empowerment.
