Dubier's story

Dubier is an indigenous farmer from Jambaló, Cauca, with 17 years of experience. He has a one-hectare plot assigned to him by the indigenous council, where he has planted over 5,000 coffee plants interspersed with 1,300 fique plants that complement his agricultural production. Dubier fertilizes his crops with inputs he prepares within his ethnic group, using traditional techniques that allow him to maintain soil fertility and ensure the quality of his products.

Dubier lives with his wife and son in a house he built on his land. His wife actively helps manage the household and supports him in organizing agricultural tasks, serving as an important backing for the development of his productive activity.

A loan of COP 5,131,269 allows Dubier to purchase environmentally friendly fertilizers. This investment contributes to improving crop nutrition, strengthening soil fertility, and increasing the productivity and quality of the coffee and fique harvest.
