Ernestine, 30, has two children, aged three and six. The eldest child is in school, while the youngest isn't yet. Her husband sells chicken and she sells malt (sacked sorghum). She has been doing this business for over six years and she enjoys it. This business has given Ernestine enough profit to build her own family house. She needs a loan to buy more sorghum and hence make more profit, with which she plans to renovate her house.
