Nzembi is a married woman with five children, three of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past year, Nzembi has operated a business selling cows at the market to her neighbors and passersby. Her major business challenge is seasonality. She dreams of expanding her business in the future.
Nzembi decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business. With a loan of 10,000 Kenyan shillings (KES), she plans to purchase a cow for sale.
