Fatmata's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 46-year-old Fatmata from Lunsar Branch. She is a married businesswoman with four children between the ages of 16 and 28 years old. One is currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Fatmata runs a retail business and sells fast food to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 15 years. Fatmata says that her challenge is the increase in cost of goods and transportation in the country.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more fast food to increase her business. Fatmata says that the extra income from this loan will help to support her family and business. In the future, she would like to expand her business to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
