Isatu's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 29-year-old Isatu from Torkpoi Branch. She is a married businesswoman with two children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old. All are currently attending school. She started her business to take care of her family.
Isatu runs a retail business and sells cooking items to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 7 years. Isatu says that her challenge is the increase in cost of goods and commodities in the country.
She has requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more cooking items such as onions, palm oil, pepper, etc. to increase her business. Isatu says that the extra income from this loan will help her to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
