Maria, a 59-year-old widow with seven children, lives in the Philippines where she has been operating a retail shop that sells canned goods, snacks, biscuits, breads and noodles for the past 20 years. A member of HSPFI since 2010, she is requesting a loan for PHP 8,000 to buy snacks, beverages and canned goods. In the future, Maria hopes to improve her business.
