Thol, age 31, is a weaver. Her husband is a motor taxi driver (a motorbike with a cart attached). Their income is 11 USD per day. They have two children, ages 4 and 2. Every month, Thol has to spend 75 USD on food, 5 USD on electricity, 50 USD on transportation, and 40 USD on other expenses. She would like to request a loan of 800 USD to buy a new motorbike with a cart attached for her husband to earn money. The old motorbike is broken and needs to be fixed a lot. If her husband can make a good profit, she wants to feed chickens and pigs at home, and she will send all of her children to study until they finish university.
