A loan of $750 helped buy 20 sacks of organic fertilizer.

Alejandro's story

Alejandro, 56 years of age, lives in the locality of Antabamba; he is characterized for being a hard-working and responsible father. He lives in his own house, along with his wife Justa, 52, and their three minor children who he cares for with much love. With the support of his wife, who is his companion and friend, Alejandro decided 35 years ago to buy some lands where he could work and, in that way, improve his family’s financial situation.

Currently, those lands serve him to be able to work and he comments that today they are much more productive than they were before. This is because, over time, he learned how to obtain better yields from his crops. What he enjoys most about his work is the close communion with the land and watching his crops grow. He has been in farming for 40 years, and considers the most difficult aspect of his work to be protecting his crops from weather variations since any lapse can affect the harvest.

Going forward, he would like to gather enough working capital to invest in improving his crops. He belongs to the “Los Pinos de Antabamba” cooperative bank, and this is his sixth credit with MFP. He hopes for your collaboration in order to meet his goals. On the other hand, he commits once again to making his payments, as he did with his previous loans.

In addition, he likes being part of his cooperative bank because all the members are very responsible and united. Upon receiving your support, Alejandro will invest the requested loan into the purchase of 20 sacks of organic fertilizer to spread throughout his potato crops. The potatoes are of the “peruanita” variety, and he hopes to obtain a good profit from selling the 25 sacks he hopes to produce.
