Due to her her dire financial situation, Seferina was one of the first women to work in a stand at the AAHH Laura Caller Market. Thanks to her efforts she was able to provide higher education for her 6 children, build her own house and open a small restaurant.

She has passed on this determination to her children. Her youngest son being an example of that. He works at the stand in his spare time in order to pay for medical school.

Seferina's goal is to be able to expand and stock her restaurant in order to make this her only business.

Translated from the Spanish by Libertad Leal, Kiva volunteer.
