Eunice is a married woman with one child who attends school. She owns a house that has piped water and electricity. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past one year, she has operated a retail shop business, selling to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of high of cost of transportation in her business. She dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.
With the Kshs 40,000 she wants to purchase bundles of maize flour, wheat flour, and jerrycan of paraffin. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
