A loan of $1,200 helps to buy assorted groceries.

Josephine's story
Josephine resides in the province of Cebu. She is 62 years old and married.
To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store where she sells basic commodities. She has been managing this business for 25 years.
Currently, Josephine is requesting a loan of PHP 70,000 through Kiva’s lending partner CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines. She will use the loan as additional capital to buy assorted groceries to sell in her store.
Josephine dreams of further improving her business, in the future, to achieve a better standard of living.
