Brenda's story
I arrived in the United States as a teenager, full of dreams but also uncertainty. At the age of 16 I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life: to leave school in order to work and support myself. It was not easy. I felt that the road was closing, but inside me always lived a deep love for learning and a clear conviction: someday I would do something great for myself and my family.
Although life demanded that I mature quickly, I never allowed those circumstances to define my limits. With effort, responsibility and many hours of work, I managed to start a small house cleaning business. Little by little I grew to have three employees, and for the first time I understood the power of creating opportunities, not only for myself, but also for others. Still, I knew my journey did not end there. Inside me was a constant desire to grow, learn more and build a stronger future.
When I finally had the opportunity, I finished my GED and started working at a bank. That was a turning point in my life. I was given an opportunity and I didn't waste it. I learned quickly, took on responsibilities and managed to grow professionally. It was there that I understood the importance of financial education and the impact it has on the stability of families.
Later I got to know the world of insurance, and something clicked in my heart. I discovered a way to help people not only protect themselves, but to feel reassured and prepared during life's most difficult moments. I understood that many people make decisions without clear information, and I knew I wanted to be part of the change.
Today I am a mother, wife and entrepreneur. Everything I do is guided by empathy, honesty and commitment. My story is not perfect, but it is real. And it is precisely that experience that drives me every day to serve, educate and build a better future for my community.
