A loan of $1,350 helps to buy two bags of rice, one bag of corn, 20 crates of sweets, 10 containers of peanut paste, and one can of oil.

Aicha's story
Ms. Aicha is married and a mother of four children—the oldest is 20 years old and the youngest is 11. All four children attend school, and she supports five people.
Ms. Aicha has been a restaurant owner for five years. She sources her ingredients from markets surrounding Ouagadougou.
With the loan, Aicha plans to buy two bags of rice, one bag of corn, 20 crates of sweets, 10 containers of peanut paste, and one can of oil for her restaurant and reinvest her profits in the business.
Aicha intends to save and reinvest the loan proceeds in her business. She also plans to add a second business, selling fabrics, to help her husband with family expenses.
