Theany, 27, resides in Kampong Chnang province, Cambodia, an area known for palm products. She makes a living selling groceries, earning an income of $4 a day to help cover family expenses. Her husband earns $12 a day as a taxi driver. Each month, the family has to spend $100 on food and $10 on other necessities. Theany is requesting a loan of $800 to buy a new car for her husband because this will allow him to provide better service to his customers. This will be her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner.
KREDIT Ltd. is one of Kiva’s most established partners in Southeast Asia. The organization empowers the economically-active poor and small entrepreneurs by providing inclusive financial services.
