Samwel's story

Samwel is a 45-year-old married father of three living in Sibuoche, where he has operated a soft-drink retail business for the past 10 years. With support from his wife, who also contributes to the household income, he currently earns about 60,000 KES per month from his business.

He has applied for an 80,000 KES loan, to purchase additional soft-drink stock for resale, and he plans to use the increased profits to cater to his family’s basic needs. Ambitious and hardworking, Samwel hopes to expand his small enterprise and eventually own a large restaurant.
