Mary Joy's story
Mary Joy resides in the province of Davao del Sur. She is 52 years old and married. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store where she sells basic commodities. She has been managing this business for 15 years.
Currently, Mary Joy is requesting a loan in the amount of PHP 30,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEV (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines). She will use the loan as additional capital to buy assorted groceries to sell in her store.
