Theresa's story
Theresa is 48 years old and from Liberia. She is a single mother with four children - two of whom are still in school and all whom live at home.
Theresa is a hardworking businesswoman who sells dried goods. She received her start up capital from her brother and learned the trade from her sister. She works from Monday through Saturday and has been operating her sales for the past ten years now. She uses a motorcycle to transport supplies to her business site.
Theresa approached BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending Partner for a loan of 150,000 LRD. With this loan, she will buy more dried goods in order to resell to her good clients.
She likes her business because it provides her with money daily. She wants to build a house in the future. Theresa is highly grateful for the financial support rendered.
