Lafitaga's story
Lafitaga is a 52-year-old married woman with 7 children. She runs a business of selling taro and bananas in her community to earn a living and she has been doing this for 10 years now. Lafitaga works very hard to please her customers with her fresh taro and bananas. She believes she will earn more income if she plants more produce, but in order to do this, Lafitaga needs a loan to buy seedlings and other farming inputs to help her run the business. She even delivers her products to the flea market by using the bus. Her dream is that one day her family will have a better standard of living.
