He is applying for a loan for 83,200 Kes from Juhudi Kilimo to buy and insure two dairy cows. His goal is to increase his income by having more milk to sell. A higher income will also allow him to buy more animal feed and treat the diseases which affect his farm's output. Gilbert is 37 years old, married and has seven children, all of whom attend school.
