Lan's story
Lan is 41 years old and lives with her family in Hàm Rồng Ward. She has two dependent sons, one in high school and the other in middle school. She has over 15 years of experience in small-scale trading, but her income of about $260 per month places her family in the low-income group in the community.
Lan is applying for her eighth loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to buy more products, such as soft drinks, instant noodles, and sauces, to sell and meet daily customer needs. Previous loans (since 2012) have helped improve her family’s living conditions, but low sales continue to limit her income.
In the future, Lan hopes for good health and happiness for her family and dreams of earning enough to support her children’s education and further develop her business.
