Mamadou Group's story

The group was created in May 2010. The women who make up the group are from the same locality, united by strong social cohesion, and are mainly engaged in small-scale trade. Fatoumata, raising her hand on the right side of the photo, is the group's representative. 

She is married, 43 years old, and the mother of five children, including two girls. She has been selling household fragrances, peanut butter, and palm oil for over 10 years. The profits will be used to pay for her children's schooling and meals, as well as to pay the interest on the loan.
