Femmes Battantes Group's story

Rama, 28, is a client of VisionFund.  She is the president of the "Femmes Battantes" village group.  She is seen seated on the bag.  She is married, and is the mother of 2 children aged 3 and 7, who are both in school.  Her husband is a shopkeeper.

Rama has been selling food products for 7 years.  She sells her products in the weekly markets.  She sells her merchandise in the market and in the surrounding villages.  With her income, she is able to provide for her children (health, education, etc.).  This business allows her to have financial independence.  The only problem that she faces is the occasional drop in the price of salt.

In this group: Rama, Adama, Coumba, Anta, Fatou, Awa, Siga
