Soumboundou Group's story
The group was created in June 2012 and is made up of members who live in the same village and have strong social ties. Their main activity is small-scale trading.
Fatou, with her hand raised in the photo, is the group's representative. She is 66 years old, a widow and mother of three children, including one daughter. She works in the sale of bananas and has considerable experience in this field.
This loan will enable her to buy bananas in bulk and retail them in her locality. The profits will be used to increase her savings and support her children with family expenses (schooling, food and health).
