Maria Carmela
A loan of $1,300 helps to purchase snacks, sweets, beverages, and other products to stock the inventory in her store.

Maria Carmela's story
María is single. She lives with her three daughters, who are 25, 16, and 13 years old and are dependent on her financially. She does not have parents living abroad. The businesses that María has dedicated herself to for the last 6 years are a store of basic goods and growing corn (for family consumption and to sell.) She works in agriculture from Monday through Saturday from 6:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. while she opens her shop from Monday through Sunday from 6:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Her mother helps her attend to her customers. She comments that an aunt taught her this work.
María is requesting a loan to be able to strengthen her businesses. She will invest in the purchase of snacks, sweets, beverages, and other products to stock her business. She will also be able to pay the salary of employees who help her harvest the corn. With this, she will have the opportunity to increase her income.
Her aspirations are to have a much bigger store, to grow corn in a much bigger area, and to have financial stability.
