Santhiaba Sud Group's story
This group is made up of nine members. It was created in November 2007. The goal of creating it was to allow it's members to develop their businesses. The members live in the same community and are united by family ties and a strong solidarity. Their main business is retail sales.
Fatou Dame, the group representative is on the right in the photo with her hand raised. She is 40 years old, married and the mother of five children. She earns a living selling cosmetic products. With this financing Fatou Dame plans to buy body milk and perfume to resell in her community. The earnings she obtains will allow her to participate in the savings group and provide for her and her children's needs.
