Grace
A loan of $1,975 helps to buy more material for sewing.
Grace's story
Grace is 51 years old and lives in the town of Makindye in the Makindye region of Uganda. She is married and has three children who are all currently in school. For the past four years, Grace has been working hard to manage her tailoring business, where she tailors clothes. To help expand her business, Grace has requested a loan of 7,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more material for sewing, and will help Grace to generate greater profits and be able to improve their standard of living. Grace hopes that in the future she will be able to construct rental units.
Grace is a member of BRAC's Microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members like Grace who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
