Barandama Group's story
This group was created in November 2009 by women of the village who have the same solidarity values. They earn their living selling retail. Coumbayel Hadiaw, with her hand raised in the photo is the group representative. She is 50 years old, married and the mother of five children. She sells peanut butter. With her new loan she plans to buy peanuts that she will process into peanut butter to resell. Her earnings will be used to buy cattle and take care of her personal needs and those of her family.
