Thiéo Group's story
The 'banc villageois' was created in December 2008. It is made up of hardworking women who are active in commerce. This group of 12 women has taken out a classic loan. They maintain good relationships and support one another.
Mrs. Safiétou works in the trade of perfumes and incense. She is married and mother of five children—including one girl—all of whom are in school. She is the group’s representative and is shown on the right side of the photo with her hand raised.
With her loan, Mrs. Safiétou plans to buy 10 dozen perfumes and 10 kg of incense.
With the profits, she will strengthen the savings, grow her business activities and help her husband with household expenses.
