The Banc Villageois was set up in December 2008 and is made up of hardworking, honest women who are active traders. This group, which is made up of nine women, have taken out a classic loan. They have a good relationship with one another and are united.
Marie Coumba is married and mother to four children, all at school, and one of whom is a boy, She is active in the sale of breakfasts. She is the representative of the group and is standing on the right of the photo, with her hand raised.
She is going to use her loan to buy five kilos of mayonnaise, 20 liters of oil, a sack of onions, five kilos of ketchup, a sack of potatoes and condiments.
With the profits she makes, she is going to boost her savings, build up her activities, and provide for her own needs, as well as those of her children.
