Norah
A loan of $2,400 helps to buy more coffee for sale.

Norah's story
Norah is 36 years old and lives in the town of Kiyinda in the Kiyinda region of Uganda. She is married and has one child, who is currently in school. For the past 8 years, Norah has been working hard to manage her farming business, which sells coffee and maize.
To help expand her business, Norah has requested a loan of 8,500,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more coffee for sale, and will help Norah to generate greater profits and be able to expand her business. Norah hopes that in the future she will be able to construct rental units.
She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program which primarily serves small-group members like her, who do not have collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
