Linda is a married woman with two children, both of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity and running water. Linda’s greatest monthly expense is school fees for her children.
Linda operates a beauty salon business and her neighbors and passersby are her potential customers. In addition, she also makes natural fruit juices to sell and this contributes to her income. Linda’s major business challenge is seasonality.
Linda decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business. She is requesting a loan of 50,000 KES to purchase pieces of hair weaves, a blow dryer, and sacks of fruit for making juice. In the future, Linda dreams of expanding her businesses.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
