Thơ's story

Mrs. Thơ is 61 years old and currently lives with her family in Ngọc Lặc District. She is an ethnic minority woman in Vietnam, and although her children are now grown and have families of their own, she continues to manage her household with dedication and resilience. Despite her age, she remains active and contributes significantly to her family’s livelihood.

With more than 20 years of experience in farming, Mrs. Thơ works diligently to sustain her income. She also takes on domestic helper jobs whenever available to supplement what she earns from agriculture. Even with these efforts, her family is classified as a near-poor household in the community. To improve her situation, she sought her second loan from Thanh Hoá MFI, aiming to use the funds to invest further in planting acacia trees by purchasing more young plants. Her previous loan helped her household achieve a more stable living condition, and she hopes this new investment will continue to strengthen her financial security. One of her persistent challenges is living far from the town center, which makes transportation and access to services more difficult.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Thơ hopes her children can secure stable jobs and build better lives for their families. She also dreams of repairing and improving her home so that she can live more comfortably as she grows older.
