Soop Ousmane Group

This group was formed in May 2011, bringing together women from the same neighborhood who are united with a strong social cohesion.  They are all engaged in commercial activities.

Madame Coumba, seen on the right side of the photo with her hand raised, is 49 years old, married, and is the mother of 5 children, including 2 girls.  She is very dynamic and hardworking, and has a business selling fruits such as bananas and oranges.  She also sells peanuts.  Madame Coumba stocks her business by purchasing goods in bulk in the big market in her area, and then resells at retail in her neighborhood.

With the profits from her business, she will save, contribute toward the household expenses, and pay for the construction of her house.
