Soop Ousmane Group's story
This group was created in May 2011 and it groups women living in the same region who are untied by strong social cohesion and work in sales.
Mlle Madeleine, on the right of the picture with her hand raised, is 24 years old, single and the mother of a little girl. Very dynamic and hard working, she works selling clothing, shoes, glasses and purses. She purchases her stock in bulk in the capital and resells items individually in her neighbourhood.
The profits earned from this activity allow her to care for her child, save and contribute to the family's living expenses.
