Tessito Gadamayo Group's story
This group was created in June 2007. It brings together women from the same town who are united by strong social cohesion and who work in commerce and in farming. Ms. Diallo, at the right in the photo with a hand raised, is the group’s representative. She is 61, a widow, and the mother of four children, including a son. And she supports five grandchildren, who are all in school.
Ms. Diallo has been a member of the 'banc villageois' for several years. She is very energetic, hard-working, and active in selling fabrics, lime juice, and millet. She gets supplies from the weekly markets.
The earnings generated from this business enable her to save up money, manage family expenses, cover healthcare, and pay school fees for her children.
In this group: Diallo, Fatou Mamadou
