Luyến
A loan of $1,900 helps to buy nets, weights, and raw materials to make fishing net.

Luyến's story
At 37, Mrs. Luyến juggles the daily demands of caring for three school-aged children while supporting her husband, who works long hours fishing off the coast of Thanh Hóa. Their combined income is just enough to get by, and as a near-poor household in the community, every unexpected expense feels like a storm they must weather together.
To help sustain her family, Mrs. Luyến weaves and repairs fishing nets for local fishermen. It’s meticulous, time-consuming work, but it provides a modest income that keeps her children in school. As demand grows, she hopes to expand her small operation by purchasing additional nets, weights, and raw materials.
With her seventh loan from Thanh Hóa MFI she plans to increase her productivity and improve the quality of her nets, allowing her to earn a better price and build more stability for her family.
