Koba comes from village Vardisubani, a small village in mountainous Kartli. He is 32 years old and lives with his wife Lela, their one-year-old son and his parents. Koba is a driver of a mini-bus which connects two towns in Kartli. Along with this job, Koba is involved in family farming. They grow potatoes, wheat, maize and haricot beans. Harvested produce is sold in his or nearby villages. Koba’s total average monthly income from both activities is 900 Laris.
Koba requested credit to purchase fertilizers and potato seeds. After fertilizing the plot of land, he will get a high quality harvest, which will be sold for a higher price and the income of the family will increase. Koba plans to use the profit for renovation of his house, as it is already old and needs renovation to be comfortable.
